• Assist with new product development programs including designing mechanical specifications and producing prototypes • Develop prints, QFD’s, design and process FMEA’s, cost estimates, etc. • Build, test and evaluate design concepts. • Participate in the design verification and validation programs by developing test plans, coordinating test programs and identifying design improvement opportunities. • Provide weekly progress updates and participate in new product meetings • Prepare product specifications • Evaluate product application feasibility. • Interface with marketing to develop literature and sales tools for new products. • Travel to customer sites and evaluate product or application problems. • Research and analyze competitive products. • Identify new materials or new technologies and explore possibilities of applying to new TDA products. • Procure samples, build prototypes, and conduct tests. • Prepare reports and recommendations.
Qualification
• B.S. E.E. or B.S. M.E. 5 years experience designing Electrical or Electro-mechanical components Experience with UL, TUV or equivalent approval-type agencies Experience with AutoCAD or equivalent and Inventor or other 3D cad software Project Management experience Computer word processing and spreadsheet experience necessary. Able to handle multiple tasks efficiently Team Player.
